Famously elusive about her real self, the internet sensation tells interviewers that ‘ Poppy does not identify with an age’, preferring to focus on her music, art and video series, which feature everything from her interviewing a basil plant to ‘unnerving’ David Lynch-esque scenes and social commentaries. The breakout star has attracted millions of viewers to her ThatPoppy YouTube channel, with her fans forming online communities dedicated to finding the ‘hidden meanings’ in her videos, while her debut album Poppy.Computer, released earlier this year on Island records, was labelled one of Rolling Stones’ best pop albums of 2017.
